This state approved health resort is situated on the Bodden shore of the Darss peninsula, directly bordering on the national park and located between the sea, woods and expansive meadows.

The Fishermans Church Born
This unostentatious wooden church with its reed-covered roof was built by Darsser craftsmen in 1934/35 to plans of the Hamburg architect Bernhard Hopp (1893-1962).

Visitors to Born and its picturesque surroundings should plan a diversion to the Darss manor, where a genuine insiders’ tip awaits connoisseurs of meat. In the manor farm shop, you can sample tasty delicacies from beef and game, for which the manor is well-known in gourmet circles.
Youth hostel Born-Ibenhorst
The youth hostel is located in the centre of the Darsser Forest national park which is rightly classified as a primeval forest, in an area covering 2.5 hectares. It was built on the land of the former district forester in 1959.
