Harbour Dierhagen Dorf

In 2002 the harbour of Dierhagen and the ‘paddlers’ rest area were equipped with modern sanitary facilities and a slipway for small boats. The communal harbour is situated on the western shore of the Saaler Bodden. It has mooring facilities in the marina and offers a ferry connection to Ribnitz-Damgarten the ‘Amber City’.

Farmers’ markets start in May and are held in Dierhagen, Wieck, Zingst and for the first time, in Wustrow. The markets combine a selection of regional and ecological delicacies and offer a special shopping environment. Shopping becomes an experience in the maritime atmosphere of Dierhagen harbour, the rustic ambience of the museum farm of Zingst or in front of the modern building of the ‘Darsser Arch’.

The church of Dierhagen

 

The brick church was erected in 1850. The interior design has been kept plain since renovations in 1970. An interesting model of the ‘Frigate of Dierhagen 1799’ is exhibited inside the church.
