Harbour Dierhagen Dorf
In 2002 the harbour of Dierhagen and the ‘paddlers’ rest area were equipped with modern sanitary facilities and a slipway for small boats. The communal harbour is situated on the western shore of the Saaler Bodden. It has mooring facilities in the marina and offers a ferry connection to Ribnitz-Damgarten the ‘Amber City’.
Dierhagen seen through the eyes of a child
A wide, endless beach for romping and playing. Fine sand for the best sand castles in the world. Shallow water for little water-babies and behind the beach the best pinewoods for playing cowboys and indians and hide and seek. The Baltic Sea spa of Dierhagen offers ideal conditions for a holiday with children. Those who like to be out and about with their children can enjoy many traffic-free lanes and paths for walking, cycling and inline skating.
Trend-sport Nordic Walking
Nordic Walking is comprehensive training for the whole body. Nordic Walking activates 90 % of the muscles but is at the same time gentle on the cardio vascular system. Blockages in the neck and shoulder area are loosened up.
Summertime farmers’ markets
Farmers’ markets start in May and are held in Dierhagen, Wieck, Zingst and for the first time, in Wustrow. The markets combine a selection of regional and ecological delicacies and offer a special shopping environment. Shopping becomes an experience in the maritime atmosphere of Dierhagen harbour, the rustic ambience of the museum farm of Zingst or in front of the modern building of the ‘Darsser Arch’.
The church of Dierhagen
The brick church was erected in 1850. The interior design has been kept plain since renovations in 1970. An interesting model of the ‘Frigate of Dierhagen 1799’ is exhibited inside the church.
